Caregiver Fairs

Each fall the Area Agency on Aging 1-B presents our signature event, the Solutions for Family Caregivers Expo, which takes place the third Saturday in October.  The agency also holds a St. Clair County Caregiver Fair and participates in the planning of the Monroe County Caregiver Fair, hosted by the Monroe County Aging Consortium.  These Monroe County Caregiver Fair is scheduled to take place in Spring 2009, and the St. Clair Caregiver Fair will take place in Fall 2009.

These three events are excellent resources for caregivers.  Each offers presentations on important topics, such as dementia, housing options, legal tips, fall prevention, stress management, accessing local resources, and more.  In addition, the events have a large exhibitor area where attendees can visit with representatives from organizations to learn more about services and resources available to help them with their caregiving needs.
