Publications and Reports

The Area Agency on Aging 1-B publishes several publications of interest to seniors, disabled adults, family caregivers, senior advocates and Michigan legislators. is committed to progressive and innovative service delivery that is based on the most current research and demographic information that is available. Where information is lacking, the AAA 1-B conducts studies to identify older adult needs, or implements demonstration programs to identify effective service models.

Access
ACCESS is a quarterly newspaper produced by the Area Agency on Aging 1-B and contains information of interest to seniors, disabled adults, and family caregivers. ACCESS is published in November, February, May and August.

Aging and Disability Resource Center
Draft copy of the Southeast Michigan Aging & Disability Resource Coalition (SEMADRC) Emerging Application that will be submitted to the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging.

The Advocate
Now more than ever active advocacy is needed to educate decision makers and legislators regarding the importance of public support for senior services. The Senior Advocacy Network through the AAA 1-B keeps advocates informed about the key events requiring a united voice. Reading The Advocate will help keep you up to date on these and other important aging issues.

Annual Report
The Area Agency on Aging 1-B publishes an Annual Report at the end of each fiscal year that provides a summary of services provided and a copy of the audited financial report.

Area Plan
The FY 2012 Annual Implementation Plan indicates how federal Older Americans Act and state funds will be used to support community-based services for older adults in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties for fiscal year 2012 (October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012)

Emergency Preparedness Plans and Documents
Contains information on the AAA 1-B emegency preparedness plans, and details on how individuals to prepare for a 72 hour emergency. 72 hour plan also available in Russian, Arabic and Spanish.

Contains the findings of Area Agency on Aging 1-B client/participant satisfaction surveys.
