Meals on Wheels
Senior dining programs are available in the community for seniors who are 60 and older and their spouse regardless of age. Meals are usually held in community settings such as a senior center or church.
Senior dining programs have many benefits other than nutrition. These include getting out, socializing, and even having participants volunteer their own time. Senior dining programs are a great way to combat loneliness and make new friends.

The Area Agency on Aging 1-B supports Meals on Wheels and senior dining programs in six counties in Southeast Michigan and Metropolitan Detroit. Home delivered meals (Meals on Wheels) are available to any individual who is age 60 and over and meets program eligibility requirements. (Note this program is not based on income but the inability to adequately prepare meals).
